We have an immediate requirement for a Junior Program Financial Analyst. This new position will report to the Vice President of Finance and Administration and will be required to work closely with members of Sonovision's management team.

Typical Duties

As a Junior Program Financial Analyst with Sonovision Canada, you will be responsible for processing invoices for assigned customers in a timely manner and ensuring accurate and timely completion of all monthly porting as it pertains to your assigned duties. In addition, you will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Maintain customer purchase orders to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Provide supporting documentation with invoices per customer requirements
  • Delivery of customer invoices which can include uploading to the client's websites, emailing to specific contacts or regular mail
  • Follow up on customer receivables and update client database with invoicing requirements, contacts, and activities
  • Check and reconcile invoicing with financial accounting and the project control management
  • Analyze project control management reports monthly to identify emerging trends, issues, cause and effect analysis
  • Communicate with the project and operation managers to determine the cost to completion per job.
  • Run work in progress (WIP) reports to monitor company progress
  • Analyse profitability for customer jobs
  • Ensure processes and procedures are adequate to maintain proper customer job valuation/invoicing
  • Additional duties or projects as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in private industry
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Business Administration). Working towards obtaining Accounting designation preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Bilingualism would be an asset)
  • Customer service oriented
  • Proficient using Microsoft office with advanced skill in Excel with the ability to learn new programs easily

 

Assets

  • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise accounting software would be a definite asset
  • Experience with Project Management / Time and Materials business systems would be a plus!

The successful candidate must complete a background check, which will include previous employment reference checks, education verification, and a criminal history review.

This position requires a minimum of 10-years consecutive residency in Canada to attain a NATO Secret Clearance. For this position, the successful candidate must also be able to meet all Controlled Goods Program requirements.
