Job Description

As a XSL / FO Developer with Sonovision Canada, you will join an energetic team, passionate about the work they do. As part of the Applications Development Team, you will be expected to prepare documents for conversion and review converted documentation for completeness and accuracy. This is an excellent full time position for a new graduate looking to break into the industry!

 

Typical Duties

  • Develop XSL / FO or XSL / T publication engines.
  • Developing DTD and Schema's.
  • Develop various applications to support document conversion.
  • Develop automations tools.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with XSL / T, XSL / FO development.
  • Experience with conversion of XML or SGML documents to other data formats.
  • Knowledge of SGML and/or XML and DTD and other schema languages.
  • Understanding of internet technologies, internet programming and the analysis and design of internet applications.
  • Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to solve technical problems by liaising with a variety of personnel (software developers, authors, editors).
  • Knowledge of Python is an asset.

The successful candidate must complete a background check, which will include previous employment reference checks, education verification, and a criminal history review.

This position requires a minimum of 10-years consecutive residency in Canada to attain a NATO Secret Clearance. For this position, the successful candidate must also be able to meet all Controlled Goods Program requirements.
